Experience
I have over ten years experience of providing counselling and psychotherapy. Throughout this time I have maintained a continuous private practice. For eight years I had a thriving practice in Sheffield, and moved to Glasgow in 2005, and have had a private practice in Glasgow ever since.

 I have written a number of articles in professional journals and chapters in textbooks covering a wide range of approaches and issues within the counselling and psychotherapy field. I am currently completing a textbook on psychotherapy, to be published in Spring 2009. Please see publications page for more details. I have worked in numerous of settings, and with an extensive range of clients including the Department of Neurology at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield, working with looked after children and care-leavers, abuse survivors, several schools and youth groups, work with offenders, and also considerable experience of working with people with serious disorders.

Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I worked in psychiatric services as a Community Mental Health Worker. The team of three of which I was part won one of the National Mental Health Awards in 1998. I was also a sexual health project worker for four years.
